Recently, I have been discussing with people in their mid-late 40s about their career paths and potential career changes. Over the last 20 plus years, they have had clear targets, objectives, and goals for them to grow and learn. Now, they have established their careers and realized there is no targets, objectives or goals to follow anymore.
It’s time for them to plan their own growth. However, it is challenging to clarify the next step because there is nobody to aim for. Also, it is not realistic to follow the path of others who established their career paths in their 40s and 50s 10-15 years ago.
If you are one of them, discussing what you have in your mind with a professional coach might help you to prioritize what you want.
